The delegation of the NFGF led by the Chairperson Mr. Panchakaji Shrestha, met with the Minister of Agriculture and Livestock Development

The delegation of the NFGF led by the Chairperson Mr. Panchkaji Shrestha, met with the Minister of Agriculture and Livestock Development Hon'ble Jwala Kumari Sah today.

In the meeting, attention was drawn to the recently released Rights to Food and Food Sovereignty Regulation, 2080 regarding the identification, classification and identity card of farmers, the provisions regarding its implementation, the repeal of the mandatory permanent accounting number for farmer groups, and the Federation's opinion on local, state and federal agricultural laws. A 27 point petition has been submitted.

The honorable minister Sah expressed a commitment to give priority to the demands submitted by the federation and to take time with the federation to communicate more about agricultural development, rights to food and farmers' rights.
