NATIONAL WORKSHOP ON CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT TO INTEGRATE FARMER FIELD BUSINESS SCHOOL (FFBS)

Participants including faculty members, government officials, elected representatives, farmers, and experts from donor agencies in the national workshop entitled “National workshop on Curriculum Development to Integrate Farmer Field Business School (FFBS)” expressed the view that agriculture can evolve beyond a subsistence livelihood into a viable profession only when such approaches are systematically incorporated into the academic curriculum.

The two-day national workshop was inaugurated on 30th October 2025 by Honorable Dr. Madan Prasad Pariyar, Minister for Agriculture and Livestock Development. The event was attended by the representatives of agriculture faculties from various universities of Nepal, representatives from different tiers of government, farmers, representatives from various organizations, and media personnel.Speaking at the program, Minister for Agriculture and Livestock Development Dr. Madan Prasad Pariyar said that he had gained a lot of information about the impact of zero tillage farming and farmer schools from this discussion, and informed that the government would discuss the issues of group renewal, PAN//VAT etc. incurred by farmer groups.

The recommendations were put forward by participants during the two-day national workshop jointly organized by the National Farmers Group Federation, Nepal and the Agriculture and Forestry University, in collaboration with CARE Nepal.
