Potato variety selection test and organic production trail in different Local Government Units of Madhesh Province

This year, Khumal Rato-2, Janak Dev and local varieties potato produciton is ongoing using organic and chemical methods in Saptari and Siraha districts of Madhesh Province. Last year, in a breed selection trial conducted on these same varieties, it was found that the recommended variety produced more than the local variety and that the use of Trichoderma caused less disease.

The National Farmers Group Federation, Nepal is  implementing Rupantaran project  with the support of CARE Nepal and in cooperation of the Local Governets in 6 local levels of Siraha and Saptari Districts.
