Expansion of National Farmers Group Federation Nepal to Rukum
In order to organize the farmers involved in the agricultural profession in Nepal, the National Farmers Group Federation has been expanded to the Rukum district by organizing locally formed agriculture groups, animal service groups, and agricultural cooperatives at VDC, service center, district, and national level. It has been lobbying for the development of agriculture and farmers' rights. The National Farmers Group Federation Rukum Nepal was formed at a meeting of farmers organized by the federation in Rukum Khalanga on 2073 Ashoj 23. Durga Bahadur Batha is the chairperson, Ram Khadka is the vice-chairperson, Kamala Buda is the secretary, Datta Bahadur Pun is the joint secretary and Bishnu Sunar is the treasurer and members are Laxmi KC, Bhupendra Buda, Laxmi Budhapun, Kaman Bahadur Khatri, Bhadra Bahadur Bohora, Maya Devi Rana, Gyan Bahadur Oli, and Pramila KC.
The inaugural session of the program was chaired by Uddhav Adhikari, Central President of National Farmers Group Federation of Nepal, hosted by Bharat Kumar Sharma, Local Development Officer of Rukum, and Sahadev Humagain, Senior Agriculture Development Officer, Krishna Bahadur Karki, Chief of Veterinary Services Office and from representatives of district-based political parties were Bhim Bahadur Khadka of Nepali Congress. Khadka, Ramsur Budhamagar of CPN-Maoist Center, and Ganesh Kumar Shahi of RPP-Nepal were present.
