First National General Convention of the Federation concluded

The first National General Convention of the National Federation of Farmers Group of Nepal has been held in Kathmandu on 2071 Jeth 11 and 12. The convention was inaugurated by veteran farmer Ashta Maya Shrestha (85 years).  A total of 800 people including guests, journalists, and farmers participated in the inaugural session of the program.                                             

The General Assembly has approved the Federation's financial and organizational report, legislative amendment proposal, and Federation operational guideline presented in closed session and has also approved the Federation's strategic plan for the next four years.  The General Assembly has selected a 42-member working committee headed by Uddhav Adhikari for the next four years.
